OUTFIT // SPIKED & SIMPLE

Well. That took a little longer than expected.
This post turned out to be a real pain to write, this just isn’t the most innovative outfit. Not that I don’t like it though, it consists of all of my winter staples and it’s great when I don’t feel like standing out. I just couldn’t write anything interesting about it, so I kept putting it off.
Oh, and then there was the evil twist of fate that occured when I was finally trying to write it. It came in the form of a spider storming towards me on my bed. With nothing at hand to defend myself, I had to (gently) throw my MacBook at it. The bloody thing wasn’t dead, blahblahblah, long story short, it hid in my bed and I had to flee to the guest bedroom without my laptop.
ANYWAYS. I managed to kill it the day after (on my own, guys! Can you imagine!), moved back into my room, got over my writer’s block, and here we are.
Now I have nothing left to blabber about, so, the photo’s!

Jumper - New Look
Jeans - All Saints
Deena & Ozzy wedge booties - Urban outfitters
Beanie - American Apparel
Spike necklace - New Look

I got the beanie at AA a couple of weeks ago and I’ve hardly taken it off ever since. It goes with everything, so I’m afraid you’ll be seeing it numerous times on here in the next few weeks. You know, just like these booties that you’ve already seen here and here. I don’t see the point in altering an outfit for a blogpost that’s supposed to show you what I wore. And I basically wear these booties with EVERYTHING. Yay for versatility, hope it doesn’t bore you too much!

Oh by the way, I’ve had Pinterest for a while now, but I only got truely hooked over the last few days. I actually just reached my 100th pin, so feel free to check it all out here. Apart from the usual style and beauty boards, I also have one for pretty bodymods (nothing extreme), one for quotes I genuinely like (not those lame pseudo-deep lines like “be nice & work hard” pasted over a pretty landscape Tumblrstylez) and I’m working on one for funny stuff too.

That was it for today guys, hope this wasn’t too much of a snoozefest.
Adieu!

LIFESTYLE // NEW LOMOGRAPHY, MOLESKINE & PANASONIC GOODIES

Hi there, badass readers!
Prepare for some seriously off-topic shiz. Over the past few weeks, I purchased some gadgets I had been craving for some time now. You know that feeling when you just can’t get enough of something new? (Or am I the only one who puts new clothes next to their bed? So they’re the first thing I see when I wake up the next morning? Alright, maybe I am, don’t judge me.) ANYWAYS, I was tired of just looking/smiling at them, so the next logical step was taking photos of them. And then bothering my readers with the result. Obviously.
The lot. Here we go:
I’m probably most excited about this one: a flash for my lomography Diana F+ camera. This baby allows me to use the Diana indoors and in the dark. By sliding one of the colourgels in front of the bulb, I can make the flash basically any colour, with a lovely coloursplashed result. Imagine all the awesome partypics you can make with this!
This is also an accessory for lady Di. I used to wrap her in two T-shirts and carry all of it around in a toilet bag. Not very practical. But not anymore! She now has this compact leather case to travel in. As you can see, the front can be easily taken off to take a picture, and then snapped on again. I really hope to get more use out of the Diana with this new stuff. She takes such lovely pictures, and people’s reactions when I carry her around in public are so funny!
So this one’s a bit less interesting, but I was so happy when it arrived. The details of a Moleskine diary are superb. See those rounded corners? No more dog ears with those! The paper is nice and thick, and the diary contains lots of useful pages, such as conversion tables for shoe and dress sizes. I had a Moleskine daily planner for 2012 too, and after carrying it around in my bag every day for a year, it still looked like new. And yep, I was in a crazy mood when I ordered this one, hence the Star Wars quote.
My fourth and final acquisition: a cream-coloured Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphone. This was a no-brainer, I’ve had the exact same one for two years before the left side started lagging. Cute looks, great performance and sturdy quality at an affordable price, why wouldn't I buy the exact same one again?

So that was it for today guys, hope the randomness didn’t bore you. If you made it this far into this post, tell me in the comments what your favourite gadgets are!
The next post is going to be an outfit by the way, and you can expect it very soon (probably tomorrow or thursday).
Until next time!

NEW IN // RIVER ISLAND BAG

Hi guys!
As promised in my previous post, here’s a quick first impression of my new bag. I actually tried making this post weeks ago, but just putting the bag somewhere in my house and taking a photo of it didn’t really do it justice. So I improvised a little, and these are the results!
So, this is the front. It’s a little more ladylike than my usual bags, but I actually love how chic it looks. But then have a look at the backside:
Surprise! The seams and the gold add an edge to the classic style, making it right up my street.

If you read my previous post, you may remember I mentioned something about this bag resembling a more high-end one? Well, this one primarily caught my eye because my mum has a similar one. The overall design is pretty much the same:
You may or may not recognise the D on the beige one as the Delvaux logo. Now obviously, that one is pure pricey perfection, but for just 50 Euro’s, I think River Island did a great job at creating something similar (and spicing it up a bit).

Hope you enjoyed this quick post! The last few weeks, finals kinda got in the way of my blogging, but that break also gave me the time to come up with new ideas. I’m actually already working on my next post, so expect something new in a few days.

See y’all next time!

OUTFIT // COLLAR TIPS & CABLE KNITS

Hi everyone!
Today: a slightly preppy outfit! Not how I usually roll, but I love the combination of collar tips and cozy jumpers. The first Belgian snow fell today (hence the dirty booties), so I chose an outfit that allowed me to do a bit of “secret layering”. I’m actually wearing three pairs of tights (one of them knit), and two tees underneath the white shirt you see. You can’t tell, right ?

white shirt - Pull and Bear
burgundy jumper - H&M
blue wool shorts - New Look
gold tights - H&M
suede wedge booties - Deena & Ozzy

What do you think of my new layout, by the way? Yesterday, I had a bit too much sugar in my bedtime tea, so I ended up having a productive sugarkick ‘til 2 a.m. last night. I started with making a Twitter (follow me if you’d like!), but then I thought I should make a button for it. An then I figured my whole layout was a bit shit, so I improved the whole thing!

Look out for next post guys, I found a véry affordable alternative for a véry high-end bag, on the highstreet!

NEW IN // H&M NEON NECKLACE

It’s miiiiiiiiiiine!
I’ve seen many bloggers sporting it these last few months. It sold out quickly but now the lovely Hennes & Mauritz brought it back.  It’s this H&M neon necklace!
It’s so over the top, making it the perfect solution for outfits you like but don’t love, because you feel they just need a little extra. I’m probably gonna wear it on my lazy days with a boring shirt-and-jeans combo. Trust me, I’ll look like you went for the “minimalistic” look on purpose ;)

Next post will be an outfit guys, stay tuned!
